The students voted for the type of pumpkin face they wanted on our class pumpkin. "Scary Face" received the most votes. We took the information and created a pumpkin graph.
Nathan's dad, Mr. Lachance, came to visit our class and talked to us about fire safety. Captain Lachance is a fireman with the Hingham Fire Department.
The children enjoyed writing about the fall with their "Big Friends" from Mrs. Caldwell's class. They worked together to create poems with their partners and had an opportunity to use a speaker to read it out loud. We also had a lot of fun playing a pumpkin math game with our Big Friends! Recently, the children wrote their own poem about the season of fall using one of their five senses. The children had fun sponge painting fall leaves with the help of Mrs. Hassett to go along with their poems. |
