The children enjoyed listening to the story Mouskin's Golden House written by Edna Miller. It's about a little mouse that makes a discarded jack-o'-lantern his home. We placed our class pumpkin outside near a path by the school in the hopes that a creature may find it useful just as the main character did in the story. |

The students did a great job writing descriptive paragraphs about their Halloween costumes. After they described their costumes to the class, the other children had to guess what it was.
