The children enjoyed listening to the story Mouskin's Golden House written by Edna Miller. It's about a little mouse that makes a discarded jack-o'-lantern his home. We placed our class pumpkin outside near a path by the school in the hopes that a creature may find it useful just as the main character did in the story. We visited it the other day and as we quietly crept up to it to take a peek, some of us thought we saw a little shadow move inside the pumpkin and there were seeds scattered on the ground......hmmmm?? :)
