The New England Aquarium came to visit the first grade classes at South Elementary School. They set up several tide pools around the room for the children to explore. The tide pools contained many different sea animals such as, sea stars, crabs and snails. Representatives from the aquarium shared many interesting facts about these ocean creatures. We can't wait for the warmer weather to arrive so we can explore tide pools at the beaches in this area!!

I agree Jordan! I thought it was interesting to see how sea stars from the Pacific Ocean look so different from the sea stars we are used to seeing in the Atlantic Ocean. :)
