Below are pictures of the children sharing their writing work. They shared interesting stories about missing teeth, riding quads and experiencing thunderstorms just to name a few!
The students voted for the type of pumpkin face they wanted on our class pumpkin. "Scary Face" received the most votes. We took the information and created a pumpkin graph.
The students had lots of fun tapping into their five senses to write about the season of fall. We attached their poems to sponge painted leaves. The students also enjoyed sharing signs of fall that they found on a Fall Scavenger Hunt. We all agreed that the milkweed pod was the most difficult item to find on the list!
The students have been doing a wonderful job writing personal narratives during Writing Workshop. Recently, they selected their favorite piece of writing, looked it over one more time to make it even better and then worked with a partner to edit and revise it. They will be sitting in the "Author's Chair" during the week of the 21st to share their writing work that they are especially proud of!
